Python Job: Bioinformatician (R-Python Programmer)

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with software engineers, domain experts and scientists to define processes to transform harmonized data into analysis-ready R/Python objects for consumption by downstream applications.
• Generate clearly written documents that describe these transformation processes.
• Generate R/Python scripts to implement these transformations.
• Ensure project objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders

Requirements:

• PhD in Bioinformatics or equivalent experience with several years of practical industry experience.
• Experience analyzing multiple types of high dimensional genomic data types in R and/or Python.
• Comfortable with modern Linux environments and version control (Git, GitLab)
• Exceptional communication and data presentation skills, including the ability to credibly explain complex scientific ideas to a diverse audience.
• Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams to collaboratively solve complex problems.
• Highly detail oriented.

Salary: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
